Question 1

Who can sign up for FundYourPal?

Accepted Answer

Any youth team, club, or organization — football, soccer, baseball, basketball, cheer, swim, dance academies, marching bands, robotics and STEM clubs, theater groups, scout troops and more. A coach, director, team manager, or board member creates the account and invites parents.

Question 2

Can our organization raise money for player scholarships or hardship assistance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many clubs and teams use FundYourPal to fund participation scholarships, uniform and gear drives, competition travel aid, or hardship relief for a team family going through a hard time. All funds route into your organization's own Stripe account, so your board keeps full oversight of how the money is used.

Question 3

How does the money reach our team?

Accepted Answer

Your organization connects its own Stripe account. Donations are charged directly into that account, so the funds are yours from the moment a donor pays. FundYourPal never holds your money.

Question 4

When do we get paid out?

Accepted Answer

Payouts follow your Stripe account's own schedule — typically every couple of business days once your account is verified. You control the bank account and the payout timing in Stripe.

Question 5

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

There is no monthly fee. FundYourPal charges one flat 10% fee on each donation, card processing included. Donors can choose to cover it so your team receives the full intended amount.

Question 6

Are donations tax-deductible?

Accepted Answer

That depends on your organization's own tax status, not on FundYourPal. If your club is a registered nonprofit, add your legal name and tax ID in your admin page and every donor receipt is issued as a tax-deductible certificate in your organization's name. Otherwise donors get a plain payment receipt. We are a technology provider, not a charity or fiscal sponsor.

Question 7

Can a donor get a receipt for their taxes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any donor can go to the donation receipts page, enter the email they gave with, and we send a secure link to that address. From there they can download a receipt for each donation and a year-end summary of everything they gave to a team that calendar year.

Question 8

Can we use it without a Stripe account?

Accepted Answer

Stripe setup is required before the organization dashboard unlocks. Once Stripe confirms your account can accept payments, you can invite families, add participants, create divisions, schedules and sponsors, and publish your fundraiser.

Question 9

How do parents get access to their athlete's page?

Accepted Answer

You add each athlete with a parent email — one by one or by uploading a spreadsheet. Then you share one sign-up link or QR code. Parents pick their athlete, confirm the email on file, and get a private link to their athlete's page.

Question 10

Is athlete data safe?

Accepted Answer

Athlete pages show only what your team chooses to publish: a first name, photo, short story and goal. Parent emails are never shown publicly, donor emails are never published, and only your team's admins can see the full records.

Question 11

Can donors give anonymously?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Donors can hide their name from the public donation feed. Your team still sees the donation in the dashboard so you can thank them privately.

Question 12

Can we cancel or delete our team?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time. Ask us and we remove your team's pages and data. Payment records held by Stripe stay with Stripe under their own retention rules.
